Viewing DjVu Files

DjVu (pronounced "déjà vu") is an image compression technology developed at AT&T Labs and commercialized by LizardTech. DjVu allows Internet distribution of high resolution images of scanned documents, digital documents, and photographs.

DjVu format was expressly designed to handle documents with a mix of text and grayscale or color images such as photos. Documents files are much smaller, and therefore faster to load, than other formats such as PDF, JPEG or PNG.
