Pima County Landbase AutoCAD Drawings (PCLAD) - Product Description

Overview

The Pima County Landbase AutoCAD Drawings (PCLAD) DVD is a complete collection of Geographic Information Services Division Landbase section map drawing files in AutoCAD DWG format. The drawings show parcels, access easements and streets. See the Parcel Map Description for more information on these drawings. If you need just one or a few section drawings or to check for updates, then your needs might be met by downloading over the web. See Parcel (Landbase) Section Map Download.

No tools or software for viewing or using the data are included with the PCLAD DVD. The drawing files can be used with AutoCAD version 2004 or higher, or with other software that supports the AutoCAD DWG format. See Viewing AutoCAD DWG Files for links to web browser based viewers that may be helpful..

The PCLAD DVD is produced for those with a need to integrate the actual drawing files with their work. You may be better served by the Internet or a different DVD or CD product.

DVD Directory Structure

There is one DWG file for each of the 9307 sections in Pima County. They are supplied in a directory structure that mimics the Public Land Survey System, tiled by section. That is, they are stored in directories by township, range and section just as they our in our central GIS library as follows:

Updates

Updates containing newer data are available by purchasing subsequent quarterly editions of the DVD. Updates are planned for the first Monday of each calendar quarter. That is, the first Monday of January, April, July and October. Releases may be delayed by technical or other problems.

The latest versions of individual section drawings are available online. See Parcel (Landbase) Section Map Download. No interim updates or patches will be provided on DVD.
