Customer Service The EIM section provides engineering related information to the general public, private consultants and other governmental agencies. You can contact us by:

Research requests can be submitted in person, by phone, or by email addressed to e-mail address

We provide information pertaining to:

Manuals, CDs, and Reproductions The EIM counter has copies of the Roadway Design, Pavement Marking, Signing, and Traffic Signal Design Manuals; and Pima County Layers CDs. Also, reproduction of aerial photos, construction plans, maps and other related record sets are available for a nominal fee.

Automated Records Application Development The development staff is responsible for designing and implementing web applications for easy access to our many electronic documents. We are currently transfering our records to our new Document Management System. We also design custom applications to support internal government users of our data.

Scanning of Records Our scanning unit has scanned over one million Transportation and Flood Control documents.

Establishment of Public Roadways Staff coordinates with several other offices the Establishment/Abandonment process of Public Roadways within unincorporated Pima County.

Maintainence of Engineering Information Records that EIM maintains include:

Drafting Services Technicians and Drafters utilize AutoCAD and other software to prepare location maps for land acquisitions within Pima County, generate Property Rights (Right-of-Way) spatial data, create Road Proceeding maps (establishments and abandonments), and update various base maps and plats for county departments. This group is also responsible for drafting As-built Constuction Plans and submitting plan sheets for final review by Department Civil Engineers.
