Document Viewing Fixes

Issues:

  1. When one clicks to view a document and receives the following:
    (click on the bar circled in red to install)

  2. When one clicks to view a document and only receives a file icon.
    For example:

    If one is unable to open the file, this may be because the file type is unknown to your system (possibly a pdf).   In which case, the solution is to install Adobe Reader or Adobe Components.   Installing Adobe Components is a 4 step process:

    Step 1:   Log into the DMS (Application Xtender) or click on one of the DMS applications, which will automatically log one into the DMS.

    Step 2:   Go to Application Xtender Help and click on Check Installed Components (see image below).

    Step 3:   Click on the second option: ApplicationXtender Web Access Abobe Component 9.0

    Step 4:   Follow the installation instructions.

    Note: this will only work if you have local admin authority.   So, if you are a Pima County employee and the install fails, you will need to call the helpdesk.
